one // my first hair towel
I have no good reason for not purchasing a hair towel before this, especially given how long my hair is. Now that I’ve started using this one, there’s no turning back. It’s just a good product and the right price.
two // perfect scones
Between quarantine and the great British bake-off, I’ve had plenty of time and inspiration for baking! One of the best recipes I’ve made so far is this super simple scone recipe. If you have a food scale I’d HIGHLY recommend using that instead of trying to convert the measurements from metric. If you don’t, I actually recently learned that it’s better to measure with a scale for baking anyway because how the flour is packed into a measuring cup can impact the density. These came out really well and tasted great – I added frozen blueberries to a few for a little extra flavor.
three // an inspiring story
If you didn’t catch this on my Instagram Story, I was looking to support a Black-owned bookstore earlier this month and found a female-owned one in the Bronx. Noëlle Santos saw a need for her community and created a bookstore that serves as a safe place for Black and Latina girls in the Bronx. Check out this piece on The Lit Bar for more and order books online here.
four // my new favorite athletic shorts
Target does it again! These shorts are SO comfortable I haven’t taken them off since I purchased them. I wear them around the house almost daily. I may need to order 3 more pairs. If you’re more into the spandex feel, I also love this version.
five // I’m an Etsy seller!
After scrolling digital prints on Etsy I thought to myself “some of my photos are just as good as these.” I decided to go for it and listed two of my favorites photos from Portugal as digital downloads. You can shop them here.
