Capitol Hill Books

In case you couldn’t tell from my last post, I’ve been really digging themed shoots. I tend to wear the same five outfits to class every week but I love pulling together special outfits based on where I’m going. This outfit felt very Veronica Lodge (from Riverdale and if you don’t already watch it, you should) to me. I was excited about the outfit but I really wanted the perfect location for it. I was hoping for the Library of Congress, but since you can’t take pictures in the main reading room, Ava suggested Capitol Books. As soon as we walked in I knew it was a good choice. It was a maze of bookcases and stacks with funny notes and category names.

There’s an older man working the register who clearly does not love people but has great taste in music. It was raining when we went and it felt like we stepped into a cozy little haven when we got inside. We honestly could’ve spent all afternoon there.

Outfit: sweater: AQUA (unfortunately the solid black is sold out but they should have the same style again next fall! I love their cashmere sweaters – they’re so comfy and you can usually get a great deal on them!); skirt: LF Stores (old); boots: Sam Edelman
