I don’t know if it’s New York re-opening or just too many months quarantined but I have been dying to shop and not just for loungewear but fun, beautiful dresses.
Target dropped a new round of designer dresses and I think it was one of their best collections yet. It took a lot of self-control not to buy multiple pieces from each designer. While I’d previously heard of Love Shack Fancy, some of my favorites pieces were from a new-to-me designer, Carly Cushnie. Carly is a Black designer who creates runway and formal looks. She’s designed dresses worn by Michelle Obama (I loved this one and there was a similar design made for Target – it sold out quickly in black but is still available in a few sizes in red) and Rihanna (this one is similar to the one I’m wearing here!) and is sold on Shopbop.
The colors in her collection are much brighter than I would typically wear but they’re perfect for summer. Despite the super affordable price points, the collection includes all of the fun and flattering silhouettes seen in her regular designs.
I love stalking the pictures Carly is tagged in on Instagram to see how the dresses looks on other people; I have yet to see a style look bad! Linked a few of my favorites below – shop it before it’s sold out!
