It’s time for another beauty round-up! While I’m currently testing out new products from the last Sephora sale, these are some of the tried-and-true favorites that I re-purchase season after season.
Skincare
Ole Henriksen Truth Serum
I heard this serum referred to as one for beginners and I found that to be the perfect description for it. It’s a great introductory serum because it’s fairly gentle and goes on really well. I think it helped my skin, but after using the mini, I felt ready to upgrade to a stronger vitamin-C serum. I’m excited to share if I like the one I’m trying out now!
Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer
If this product looks familiar, that’s because I shared it in my first Beauty Empties post as well. It’s my tried-and-true, go-to daily moisturizer. I have been trying to change it up more recently but this is still the best I’ve used. (Packaging is old which is why it looks different from what’s available online!)
Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask
This mask is as good as everyone says it is, but it is a true mask for me. I’ve seen people use it as a daily moisturizer but I find that it pills and leaves a film over my skin. Most nights that I use it I sleep with it on overnight to let it fully sink in, but I always rinse it off before applying anything else to my skin. I ended up re-purchasing during a sale before I even finished this one. It’s a best seller for a reason!
Haircare
Briogeo Scalp Revival
This was part of the Sephora Birthday Gift so I can’t speak to it the same way I could a full-size, but this product definitely made me consider adding a scalp treatment into my routine. I thought it worked well and I enjoyed using it. Bonus points because it’s part of Clean at Sephora and a Black-owned beauty company.
Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair
Same as the above, this was part of the Sephora Birthday Gift, but based on my trial I don’t think I’ll be purchasing the full-size of this one. I didn’t find that it worked as well as my Pantene Rescue Shots but I do like that it’s a cleaner product. I also love my Briogeo heat protectant so I’m surprised I didn’t like this one as much.
Pantene Rescue Shots
I LOVE these. They’re affordable, easy to use, and leave my hair feeling soft and voluminous. I would like to switch to a cleaner option in the future, but for now, I know this one works and works well.
slip Silk Scrunchies
These felt like a ridiculous purchase but it ended up being one of my favorites. These last an incredibly long time, don’t create creases and don’t pull at my hair as much as regular elastics. I will definitely be repurchasing when I wear the final one all the way into the ground.
Bath & Body
L’Occitaine Shea Butter Hand Cream
Another second-timer! I mentioned this one in the first round of Beauty Empties as well because I go through the minis tragically quickly. Since finishing the first big tube of this I’ve already made progress on the second. It’s my favorite hand cream.
Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash
Not pictured.
I’m sure the teens of TikTok will shade me for this pick but this body wash has been my go-to for preventing ‘bacne’ since high school. I’d like to swap this one out for a cleaner product as well, but for now, I know it works. It’s a much better deal when you buy the value pack on Amazon.
