For me, back to school means time for fall. Unfortunately, DC weather isn’t quite there yet. To keep cool while still embracing fall, I love to start wearing fall colors and fabrics. A dark-colored sundress will keep you cool without feeling too summery. A perfect example is this outfit – a black dress feels less summery even though it’s a still sundress, and the tan bralette and grey suede sneakers scream fall to me.
I actually got the sneakers two years ago but I’ve been wearing them more and more recently. They’re so comfy and easy to slip on in a rush. The grey goes with almost everything and the suede makes them feel a little nicer than a leather or canvas sneaker.
We went to a sunflower field in Maryland hoping to get some great pictures, only to find out that we were WAY past their prime. The sunflowers were not only dead but already cut down in some places. We even ran into some wild turkeys, but luckily they were more afraid of us than we were of them and ran for cover into the still-standing (but unfortunately dead) sunflowers. Although the field was tragic and it had stormed an hour earlier in DC, we were able to get some great shots thanks to golden hour and some lucky timing.
Thank you Karley and Lauren for the pictures!
