Monday Musings are back! I try to use these posts as an outlet to share sales, smaller things, and news so keeping them up to date and posting on time is much harder when you throw (international) travel into the mix. Luckily, that part of my summer is over so I’ll be able to be more consistent with them in the future. Here’s what’s been on my radar lately:
one // Summer content is coming soon to the blog!! I spent the weekend in Ocean City, NJ with one of my best friends from school and she was a HUGE help in photographing, styling and helping me create new content to share with you guys! I’ll be sharing it all on the blog over the next two weeks. I usually try and post on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays so be on the lookout for those posts. You can also sign up for my weekly newsletter at the bottom of this page to get a weekly recap and a sneak peek of posts coming soon.
two // July 4th – I know it’s still a month away but I’ve been starting to see red, white and blue floating around everywhere. I generally don’t own a lot of red so trying to incorporate all three colors into one outfit is a yearly struggle for me. I’ve been trying to get a head start on planning out what to wear for the weekend and included a few pieces I’ve found below.
three // Summer music is simultaneously wonderful and awful. I love that so much new music comes out for the summer but it gets so repetitive and over-played SO quickly. Before it gets too old I’m currently loving “Bad Liar” by Selena Gomez and “Strip That Down” by Liam Payne. I was never a big One Direction fan when they were all together so I didn’t even know which one Liam was for the longest time but I am OBSESSED with this song. It feels very Justin Timberlake and I’ve been listening to it on repeat. If you have any other good summer anthem recommendations comment them below!
four // First days – I have the first day of my summer internship tomorrow and I’m so nervous for it. I found an article about seven things to do on your first day at a new internship and thought it was so helpful I had to share! Also, be sure to check out my post on how to look cute for an internship if you haven’t already seen it!
five // L’Occitaine Shower Oil – Sephora is usually my number one place to shop for all beauty and makeup products because I love their rewards system. Between my family and I, we end up spending quite a bit of money there over the course of a year so the points add up. At some point, they offered a 500 point L’Occitaine reward and I purchased it basically as soon as I could. One of the things included in it was their almond shower oil. I had read that Carly of The College Prepster used it for shaving her legs so I tried it out and WOW. She was so right. The oil creates a light foam and left my legs feeling insanely soft. It also moisturizes better than most shaving creams so my legs didn’t feel super dry afterward. It’s pricey but it’s so worth it.
(Also, how pretty are the hydrangeas in the cover photo for this post?! I’m so excited they’re in bloom!)
