Since this is the first musings of the New Year I wanted to start off with some good news. We planned my graduation trip! We finally decided on Iceland and Paris and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ve been doing a ton of research so I already have a few things in mind but I’d love to hear what you guys have loved about those places if you’ve been! All I’ve been able to think about since we booked our flights has been what to pack and what to do, so that’s part of why I’m keeping this week short, but the other reason is I’ve been avoiding the cold and avoiding online shopping in an attempt to save more money this year.
one // Snow in Central Park – Last week it snowed and my dad very generously offered to head over to Central Park with me. It was a chance to test out my new portrait lens, and see the park in the snow! It was gorgeous and I wish I was home for more snow!
two // vineyard vines New Arrivals – While vineyard vines does holiday exceptionally well, but now that spring is on the way they have some really great new arrivals! I love this black jumpsuit that looks comfy and great as a casual piece or dressed up, and these camo leggings that come in black or blue!
three // Best Winter Boots – It has been SO cold in New York. I tried to still go outside when it was 20 degrees but since it’s gotten even colder I’ve been basically glued to my TV and staying inside as much as possible. When we do go out, my Sorel boots are an absolute must. I got them when I was going to school in Indiana and thought it would snow a lot but I ended up wearing them more for the cold than the snow. This week they’ve been keeping my lower legs and my feet warm enough to withstand these crazy wind chills and keep the wet slush away from my feet. If you live somewhere that gets a lot of snow or gets really cold, trust me, these boots are a must have! I have a version of the Tofino boot (the non waterproof kind) but the Joan of Arctic are similar and another great option!
