Can you believe January is almost over?? Everyone around me has been saying it’s been a slow month but I think it’s been flying by. Last Monday feels so far away, but it’s been a good week and I have a lot I’ve been wanting to share with you!
one // The Greatest Showman – Last Monday a few friends and I went to go see The Greatest Showman. I’m not a musical-movie person, but I had seen previews and was really excited for the movie. Let me tell you, it lives up to ALL the hype. Everything about it was incredible – the music, the cinematography, the cast, I loved all of it and have been listening to the soundtrack on repeat since Monday. ‘This is Me’ is by far my favorite track.
two // Steve Madden – Pretty much every time I go into Georgetown I end up in the Steve Madden store and about every other time I end up walking out with a pair. My most recent purchase was the Lancer sneaker in blush pink. I got them last week and have worn them every other day. They’re so comfy but they make athleisure even cuter! Honestly can’t recommend them enough.
three // iPhone X – In August, my mom’s phone broke so I upgraded to the 7+ and gave my mom my 7. I got the 7+ for the camera but I noticed a lot of the pictures turned out blurry and the edges weren’t well defined, so I stopped using portrait mode. Fast forward a couple of months and my friend Ava comes back to school with the iPhone X. The portrait mode photography quality is insane. It’s twice as good as the 7+ and I now let her take all the pictures. If you don’t believe me, just look at the cover photo from this post! It was taken on my birthday and in weird lighting but it came out so good! I know it’s a crazy expensive phone but if the camera is a major factor for you I definitely think the 8+ or X is worth it.
four // Floral Sneakers – As my friends could all tell you, I have a sneaker problem. I was walking around Nordstrom and a pair of embroidered sneakers caught my eye. I love the little pink flowers against the white sneaker and think they’d be the perfect pair for spring.
five // Parthenon of Books – When I found this video on Facebook it immediately went in my notes for the next Monday Musings post. An artist created a replica of the Parthenon using thousands of copies of banned books. Since 1955 it’s been home to Documenta, and hosts modern and contemporary art exhibits every five years.
