In case you couldn’t tell by the fact that this week is Tuesday Musings instead of Monday Musings, this week (and this month) is flying by. Can you believe it’s almost the holiday season? While I’m not quite ready for Christmas music and Thanksgiving dinner, I don’t mind the cooler weather, so let’s kick things off with a fall layer.
one // a new jacket from Target
Target stepped up their clothing game this fall. I’ve been loving this Free People jacket dupe. The original has been a sell-out and fan-favorite but the Target dupe is a fraction of the price for the same look. It’s also much warmer than expected, making it a great cool-weather layer. It’s currently sold-out except in black but may come back.
two // Mrs. Meyers mini hand sanitizer
Now that carrying hand sanitizer everywhere is normal, this spray is my favorite. I use the basil scent and ordered from Grove Collaborative.
three // dinner at Serra by Bierra
In all of my years living in NYC, I didn’t make it to Eataly’s infamous seasonal rooftop until last month. The fall theme this year is Honey & Harvest and the decorations are beautiful as always. We got a charcuterie board to share and the fresh honeycomb was amazing. I’d also highly recommend the Pasta Al Forno con Zucca e Tartufo and the apple cider cocktails.
four // rooftop pilates
While my Equinox membership remains on hold, I figured why not try something new. A couple of friends and I signed up for a rooftop pilates class with Good Day Pilates at the Sixty Soho hotel in October. It was the perfect way to kick off a Sunday morning with great weather and coffee and brunch to follow. I’d highly recommend it!
five // lately on Netflix
I started a bunch of new shows lately that I’ve been loving. I watched all of The Good Place in less than two weeks and it was the perfect feel-good easy show. Switching gears, I turned to Stranger Things after that which has been creepy but also great. I’m only on season 2 but excited that 4 is in the works. I also recently started The Crown and have been really into that as well. Whenever I get through my current shows, I’m excited to start The Queen’s Gambit.
