Chanukah is not a priority holiday for Jews, religiously speaking, and I fully recognize that it isn’t traditionally about gift-giving. However, it would be nice if there were just a few more options as far as cute Chanukah decorations go. These Instagram posts sum it up pretty well.
Target sells a few styles of Chanukah wrapping paper that my mom managed to snag while in Queens, but not all are available for shipping and most aren’t in stock in the tiny NYC Targets.
While in past years I’ve opted to wrap gifts in Christmas paper, this year, I splurged on some cute Chanukah wrapping paper. I opted for three different styles from this Etsy shop. The paper comes in 3 individual sheets rather than a roll. It’s the perfect size for a short 14×11 box or multiple smaller boxes but doesn’t work as well for larger items. It’s not quite the same as popping into The Container Store or Target and seeing aisles and displays full of great options, but I’d say the cost is worth it to bring a little Chanukah spirit to the season.
