Confession time: blogging has been especially hard this week. I finished my last day of classes and lost all motivation to do anything. I’m currently in Florida visiting family and I’ve been shopping, sitting in the sun, taking excessive pictures of my grandma’s dog, who loves to swim, and watching lots of Grey’s. It was a tough semester and I know I deserve the break so I’m trying to cut myself some slack, but I promise more posts are coming! To give you an idea of what’s coming up, I’m working on a recap of my travels last year as I start planning my graduation trip, sparkly pieces to add to your holiday looks and NYC holiday highlights. Until then, here’s what’s on my radar.
one // Holiday Movies – One of my professors tweeted “you are allowed to bring four holiday movies/specials with you on a trip. What do you choose?” I went with “Elf,” “Love Actually,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” and “The Santa Clause,” but I know I probably should’ve included one of the Home Alone movies, I just haven’t seen them recently enough to pick one. Any agreement or disagreement? What would you pick?
two // Slip-On Sneakers – I told myself I absolutely did not need another pair of slip-on sneakers. So what did I do? Go out and buy another pair. Obviously. I found a pair of really cute snakeskin platform Steve Madden slip-ons at Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse, but I found similar ones here! My grandma described them as “spiffy”.
three // Current Sephora Faves – For my sorority semi-formal I got my makeup done at Sephora. They gave me the royal treatment and used a million and one Dior products that I cannot afford on my skin, but I did splurge on a lip gloss and wanted to share a few other favorite products from my makeover. First is a great lip combo, they applied Anastasia Rosewood lipstick first followed by some Vibrant Metal Dior metallic gloss in the middle. The gloss was a splurge but I love it and the lipstick is going to be my next purchase so I can recreate the combo. If you’re not quite ready to spend that much on lip products, I also love this Huda lip contour set Ava introduced me to that’s only $25. I also love this Anastasia blush trio. I got the pool party color combination and the middle color is an amazing blush and the left looks great as an under-eye shadow color. Last but not least, they used a Dior shadow on my eyes but also as a highlighter and what’s better than products that serve multiple purposes. It’s also a limited edition holiday color and has the perfect amount of shimmer.
four // New Movies – Over Thanksgiving break, I watched a lot of live TV and saw advertisements for movies coming out. I might see Lady Bird tomorrow with my grandma because I showed her the trailer and she thought it looked great, but I also want to see The Greatest Showman, the story of P.T. Barnum, featuring Zac Efron. I’ve also heard amazing things about Coco!
five // Gigi New York Watch Bands – Carly Heitlinger has been an inspiration for me in many, many ways and I couldn’t help but re-share these Gigi bands for Apple watches she shared Friday! I love the Hermes double wrap bands but they are way more than I can afford, and these are just as cute and SO much cheaper! I especially love the light pink!
