Last week, I was loving my OOTD and posted a picture of it in my Instagram story. I asked if you guys would want to see a post on what I wear in a week and the answer was 100% yes. I love getting feedback from you guys on what you like to see so follow along on Instagram, I’ll be adding similar polls soon! I specifically chose iPhone photos because I wanted to make this post as authentic as possible. I took all of these pictures when I got up in the morning, before running to class/work. I love these outfits though so don’t be surprised if you see more of them on the blog soon!
Mondays are all about comfort. I have yoga in the middle of my day and don’t want to carry around a change of clothes, so I tend to just wear leggings and a sweatshirt to class. You can almost always find me running around campus in sneakers, yoga mat in hand. Monday I opted for olive green Lululemon leggings, my Superga sneakers and a Nike quarter zip. The mat is from Lululemon as well. It was pricey but since I use it twice a week it’s definitely been worth it – especially because the one day I didn’t bring it to class we had to put our heads face down on the mat and the smell of the school mat almost made me gag. It was so bad. I haven’t left it at home since.
Tuesday and Wednesday I alternate between work and class, so I like to look nice, but still dress pretty casually. Usually this means jeans, a sweater and a scarf or vest because I’m always freezing on campus. Last Tuesday it was raining so I opted for jeans, a cashmere sweater, my softest scarf and bean boots to keep warm and dry.
Wednesday was especially cold so I finally broke out my peacoat and a winter hat. I felt like I looked a little bit ridiculous but I was so tired of being cold that it was worth it to feel warm. The black sweater is one of my favorites and it looked cute with the pink hat when I took the coat off. I also wore my black over the knee boots to keep my legs warm!
Thursday is another yoga day, making my outfit similar to Monday. I went for my Lululemon Wunderunder leggings for a little extra warmth than some of my other pairs and wore this purple quarter zip because it’s fleece lined.
Friday is by far my favorite and easiest day. Friday morning is the only time during the week my roommate and I are both free when it’s still light outside so I do a lot of my photoshoots Friday mornings. I often don’t have time to change before class so I’ll always show up looking abnormally nice on those days. Last Friday my parents were in town so I picked something that was easy to drive around town in. I wore my pink peacoat on top of this outfit too!
Most of the pieces I wear are older but there are a few that are still available that I wanted to highlight! The pink peacoat must have just gone out of stock because it’s not available in pink anymore but it comes in a ton of other colors including the classic camel and black and it’s under $40!!!!! My mom had to sew a bunch of the buttons tighter because they were really loose and close to falling off but for what it costs it’s so worth it. I’m wearing a size small for reference. The tall brown boots I’m wearing in the Friday outfit are Ralph Lauren from DSW and I’ve been loving them. The dark brown is an amazing neutral and they’re so comfortable – I wore them all weekend walking around DC with no problems. Last but not least I wanted to mention my black slip-on sneakers. They’re Steve Madden and perfect for running around campus and slipping on and off before and after yoga. Mine are on sale at Nordstrom Rack but there’s a slightly different version still available at Nordstrom as well!
