I’ve always loved the skirt/t-shirt combo, but have been struggling to finding pieces that worked together. I looked for some inspiration online and couldn’t find what I was looking for on Pinterest so I decided to create my own looks to share with anyone else facing a similar dilemma. I paired three different skirts and tees to give you an idea of different ways to make the combo work for your style!
The first look is the most casual and neutral. I think a skirt, t-shirt and sneakers are perfect for running around the city on a summer day. I got the sneakers when I was visiting Barcelona in March 2016. Every single person I saw was wearing Stan Smiths from Adidas and I didn’t want to leave without a pair of my own. I ended up going with the black snakeskin because I thought they were cool and a little bit different than the white and green everyone else was wearing. They’re also the most comfortable shoes!
My second look is much preppier and similar to other outfits I’ve shared on the blog before. I found the skort at TJ Maxx for super cheap and I’ve had this elephant tee for so long I forgot it existed. I never thought to pair them together before working on this post but I LOVED how it turned out, especially with the gold bag and the white Jacks. This is an outfit I’ll definitely be wearing the rest of the summer.
I saved the best for last. I’ve been loving studs recently and I got these shoes on sale on Steve Madden – I couldn’t resist the straps the heels and the studs. I paired them with another 80’s band tee (I tend to get mine from Target or Brandy Melville) and this studded skirt.
