Last week was absolutely exhausting. Between work and the blog, I could barely make it through the day without feeling the need for a nap. I left work Wednesday afternoon wanting nothing more than to crawl into bed but I knew the second I touched my bed, even just to sit down, the day would be wasted. Instead, I raced home to change into gym clothes, pushed through my workout, and started working on my checklist. The feeling of relaxing in bed at 9 p.m. with nothing to worry about was SO much better than the nap would’ve been. Here’s hoping the next week is less exhausting and even more productive!
one // Blog Header – In case you haven’t noticed, I got a new blog header! I connected with another blogger on Twitter who (really shouldn’t because she could totally get paid) makes FREE blog headers! I gave her an idea of what I was looking for and I was so happy with how it turned out! If you’re looking for a logo for your blog or just want to see more of her work, you can find her website here.
two // Cards Against Humanity for Her – When I read about this I laughed out loud. To mock the pink tax, Cards Against Humanity created a pink ‘for her’ box that has the exact same cards as the original but is $5 more. Scroll down to the FAQ for a good laugh.
three // 29 Rooms – I don’t know how I haven’t heard about this before but it sounds so cool. Check out how incredible these pictures are! I’m tempted to come home just to go. If you live in the NYC area don’t hesitate to get tickets – they’re only $19! It runs September 8-11th.
four // Nantucket Style Penthouse – The second I saw this apartment listing, I emailed my mom asking her if we could move. It’s the best of both worlds – a Nantucket-style cottage, a great room with high ceilings, and located in the heart of Manhattan. No wonder it had 30 people interested within hours of being listed.
five // American Ripper – This weekend I learned I’m not alone in my weird obsession with murder. I read The Devil in the White City last year and thought the story of H.H. Holmes was so intriguing. Needless to say, I was pretty excited when I found out they were making a show about him. One of his descendants claims that his ancestor was also Jack the Ripper and the show explores the possibility of it. If you’re interested, there’s only been one episode so far so it’s not too late to get into it! New episodes are on every Tuesday on the History Channel!
(P.S. the cover photo is a peek at the rooftop garden exhibit at the Met!)
