Versatile Work Wear

I started a new job a few months ago and have been remote for the entire time I’ve worked there. I’ve gone into my office a few times but never consistently, and never with many other people there, so for the most part my coworkers know me from my Zoom presence only.

When I started at my last job I was fresh out of college with no professional clothes and no budget for a new work wardrobe so I embraced the ability to wear jeans to work and dressed very casually. When we go back part-time in October I’ll be seeing a lot of faces off Zoom for the first time. Since I’m no longer bottom of the totem pole, I’ve been trying to match my style to my title. I’ve been keeping an eye out for pieces that can elevate my wardrobe professionally but that I could also wear casually since we don’t have a strict business casual dress code. This midi (but maxi on me) skirt definitely fits the bill.

On casual days I’d style this skirt with a neutral t-shirt, a sweater or jean jacket for cooler days or evenings, sneakers, and a baseball hat depending on what kind of hair day I’m having.

For work or dressier occasions, I love how it looks with a sweater and would wear fun heels like these snakeskin ones or a nude bootie depending on the weather and where I’m going.
