Longwood Gardens

If it keeps snowing throughout April I’m packing up my bags and moving into Longwood Gardens. It was freezing in Philly when I visited my friend Lily two weeks ago so we decided it’d be the perfect opportunity to spend a few hours in the conservatory at Longwood Gardens outside of town.

This was the biggest, most beautiful greenhouse I’ve ever been in. I couldn’t figure out where to look or what direction to go in first. The flowers were insanely beautiful and I only wish it was less crowded so we could’ve gotten even more pictures. Unsurprisingly a lot of families had the same thought to go there that day and there was even a wedding photoshoot happening while we were there.

I’m still working on a Philly Highlights list to add to a Monday Musings but for now, if you have a Philly bucket list Longwood Gardens needs to be on it!

Now, onto the outfit.

The top: I was in American Eagle months ago and found this shirt on a clearance rack. It wasn’t actually on clearance but the very nice man at the cash register honored what I said and it cost less than $10. It’s from their ‘soft and sexy’ line and so comfy. I imagined wearing it under overalls and unfortunately haven’t gotten a pair yet but if you have a similar shirt it’d be such a cute outfit!

The headband: Lately I’ve been on a bandana kick. I bought one from Zara that I’ve had tied to my bag all week and I couldn’t resist picking up this one in Madewell. To be completely honest, I almost walked out of the store with three but narrowed it down to red. They add a cute little pop of color and while I wore this one as a headband, they also look so cute around your neck, wrist, or on a bag!

The shoes: Soludos makes the cutest espadrilles for spring/summer and if you don’t already own a pair, go out and buy one now. End of story.

The bag: I feel the need to disclose that the Gucci bag belongs to Lily, not me, but if you’re looking to invest in a designer crossbody bag, the Gucci Disco Soho crossbody is amazing. It’s huge and holds so much. I love the tan and it’s a perfect day bag. I will say, Lily mentioned it doesn’t maintain its shape as well if it’s not full but it cleans super easily, holds up well and looks gorgeous.

Outfit Details: top: American Eagle (similar options here, here, here, and here); jeans: Carmar Denim; bandana: Madewell; shoes: Soludos (similar)
