I’m so excited about this post for a few reasons. For starters, it was my first photoshoot with someone who actually knows how to use manual camera settings. Second, I love this outfit. Let me give you three reasons right off the bat why the maxi romper is incredible.
- It shows off your legs in a way maxi dresses can’t
- It’s almost impossible for me to find a romper than doesn’t ride up and I don’t have to worry about it with this style
- You can dress it up or down
I’ve been searching for the perfect maxi romper for a while and when I found this one on super sale online, it was a no-brainer. It doesn’t fit perfectly (could use some slight hemming and adjustable straps) but for the price, it was worth it. I primarily see maxi rompers worn casually, so I wanted to share how you can dress them up too. I wore it with my favorite studded black heels, statement earrings, and a high pony but you could also wear it with browns or greys! Since I’m only 5’2 I need to wear a heel with it, but if you’re tall or find one that’s shorter a flat sandal would also be so cute.
When people ask me where I get my clothes from I always say Australia. They have all the best pieces in cool, trendy styles. I got my maxi romper, as well as this romper I featured a few weeks ago from Pepper Mayo. The downside of ordering clothes from Australia is that you can’t try anything on and shipping is expensive (making returns not worth it or near impossible) but I ended up really happy with my purchases, and they were almost 75% off so you can’t beat that.
The sizing is very different from the U.S. – their size 6 is a U.S. extra small or 00-0. I usually purchase things in an 8 which is a small/0-2 and that tends to work out for me. Since this one is sold out, I linked a couple of other options below (in American sizing).
Other options: Off-the-shoulder and on sale, similar color,
