Thanksgiving week is such a tease. I had a full week at home and loved every minute of it. I can’t wait to be home again in three weeks for winter break, but first I have to get through finals. Since today is Cyber Monday, I’m sharing a few of my favorite sales on here, but follow along on Twitter for a thread of even more sales and deals. (Also, how gorgeous is the tree at the Lotte New York Palace??)
One // Food in Vogue – I found this article about the new Vogue book about food that was just released and I’ve had it bookmarked all week so I could share it. To be completely honest, when I first found the article I didn’t even read it; I was just excited that there was going to be a Vogue food book. Once I finally sat down and read it, the book was immediately added to my must-read list. It could just be how it’s described, but it sounds interesting and insightful. If you’re a fan of Vogue, food, or photography, you’ll probably get just as excited about the book as I am after reading the introduction.
Two // Plaid Cape – If you love Tuckernuck, plaid, capes, and discounts then I have the piece for you. I got a plaid cape last year from Tuckernuck and I love it. It’s like wearing a blanket to class but looks cute, especially when paired with a sweater and riding boots. This cape is normally $75 but 20% off or more today depending on how much you spend!
Three // Ava Phillippe – Reese Witherspoon’s daughter may as well be her twin. The two look so insanely similar, so it’s no surprise the 18-year-old is gorgeous. I’m usually not big on celebrity gossip but I loved seeing pictures from Ava’s debut in Paris, Saturday, at the Bal des Debutantes. She looked, unsurprisingly, like a princess in a gold ball gown. You can see a video of her first waltz here.
Four // HQ – One of my favorite bloggers tweeted about a new trivia app the other day and intrigued, I downloaded it. You play in real-time against people around the world for a chance to win real money. You get a question wrong and you’re out. I played in my first round last night and was so mad at myself for getting a question about radio wrong (I was a part of my high school’s radio station for 4 years and knew the answer, just messed up.) The game is still fairly new to me but I like that it’s only live at certain times, so it’s not as addictive as Candy Crush or a game you can play whenever you want. Five // Cashmere Sweaters – Last winter, I got a cashmere turtleneck sweater from Bloomingdales. It was one of the comfiest purchases I’ve ever made; it keeps me warm, looks really cute with a vest on top, and is thin enough to wear comfortably under any coat. This year, they brought back the same sweater and it’s over 60% off for Cyber Monday! It comes in a turtleneck and a crewneck and I love both! I tried on the red turtleneck and it was a little bit see-through, but I love the greys, blacks and blues!
