I tend to be a seasonal shopper. I hate buying things months before I can wear them, so the Nordstrom Anniversary sale never made sense to me. In mid-July, I want to be soaking up all the sun I can get, not thinking about winter coats and sweaters. This year I made an exception for this jacket. As soon as it came out I knew I wanted one and much to my dismay it sold out before the sale opened to the public. I kept an eye on it and as soon as it restocked I ordered it. For months it’s been staring at me from my closet and for months I’ve been waiting for the day I could wear it.
What I love most about this jacket is how versatile it is. I styled it with an all-black ensemble, but it could work with a floral dress, jeans and a chunky sweater or the way I see it styled most: with black or blue jeans and a flowy white top.
It’s versatile, warm, neutral, and trendy but not overly so, making it the perfect fall jacket. Before August ended, I ended up buying a second in olive green I loved the first one so much. I’ll definitely be sharing more outfits with both jackets in the future!
Shop the Look: Suede Jacket: Blank NYC (the sleeves run a little long but the rest of it fits true to size), this year’s version; black t-shirt: Brandy Melville; jeans: Carmar; shoes: similar, similar
