This week felt like it lasted forever. I know we’re only three weeks into the semester but it’s already been crazy busy. Luckily, I had a weekend getaway planned to North Carolina and got to spend a little bit of time away from school and all the stress that comes with it. Friday my friends and I decided to get some fresh air. We went to Crowder’s Mountain and the views were absolutely gorgeous. If you’re ever in the Charlotte area, I definitely recommend going. The trail we took up was strenuous, to say the least. It was less than a mile in total but it was steep uphill, followed by what felt like a quarter-mile of stairs. It was definitely a challenge but 100% worth it. We were so high up we could see where the clouds were making shadows – very very cool. Check out a few more Charlotte highlights below!
one // Duck Donuts – A Charlotte favorite of mine is Duck Donuts. They’re freshly made and frosted so you get warm donuts every time and they’re amazing. We decided to try a pumpkin donut with cinnamon sugar and every bite tasted like fall. If you’re near one and haven’t tried them yet you’re missing out. Be sure to check out their season harvest flavors!
two // J.Crew skirt – I saw this skirt online earlier in the week and immediately added it to my wishlist, so it didn’t even surprise me when I saw Julia of Gal Meets Glam rocking it this weekend.
three // Lululemon long sleeve – This tee has been on my wishlist forever as well, but I could never pull the trigger because it’s still $80 for a thermal long sleeve. However, the studio my yoga class is in is always freezing and each week I get a little bit closer to getting one. Does anyone have one? Is it worth it?
four // Fallen Soldier – I always check Facebook when looking for things to share as part of my Monday Musings, but it’s rare I find something worthwhile. Sunday I found this story and it touched me. I hope you guys will like it as much as I did.
five // Fahrenheit – Last but not least for the week and for Charlotte is Fahrenheit. It’s a rooftop bar with the best views of Charlotte. It’s priced like New York so I recommend going for drinks before dinner rather than eating there unless it’s a special occasion!
