This week we’re covering all the big fall trends! Besides statement sleeves, another fall trend I’ve been noticing is monochromatic looks. To be completely honest, it reminds me of when I was 8 – I would buy all of my clothes from Gap and wear completely matching monochromatic outfits.
I actually planned this look before I noticed the trend and it just so happened that it’s a primarily brown outfit. I always worry that over-the-knee boots make me look shorter, but I like that when I wear them with these brown pants they blend together and it makes me feel like my legs don’t look quite as short as if I were wearing jeans.
If the monochromatic look is something you were thinking about trying, I think it looks best when it incorporates a few different shades of the color. Although my pants and boots are the same shade of dark brown, I wore a lighter brown sweater, and a white tank underneath.
I also have to mention that this sweater is from Abercrombie. For a while I’ve been really impressed with their new stuff and they have frequent sales that make all of their pieces really affordable. I snagged this sweater at 40% off and I liked that it wasn’t especially long!
Outfit: Sweater: Abercrombie & Fitch (I didn’t see it online but I saw it in stores earlier this week!); Top: Aerie (old); Pants: Zara (old); Boots: Frye; Earrings: Francesca’s; Bag: Tory Burch
