Another month has come and gone! I can’t believe today is the first day of my senior year. I thought I was really excited about it but now that it’s here I feel like the real world is approaching way too quickly. Regardless, I’m excited for a new semester and my first yoga class today! Here’s what’s been on my radar:
one // Gifted – I wanted to see this movie when it came out but movies are $17 in New York so I never see anything in theaters. I finally got to see it this weekend and I was a big fan – I thought it was so cute and I loved it, I’d definitely recommend it.
two // Velvet boyfriend tee – For years I’ve had this really cute suede fringe skirt sitting in my closet and for years I haven’t worn it because I can never find anything I think goes well with it. I was aimlessly looking online the other day and came across this t-shirt. I realized that it would probably work perfectly with the skirt and in general be a great t-shirt to have. I’ve been eyeing the burgundy but it also comes in black and light pink!
three // Look What You Made Me Do – Ok so I’m sure I’m not alone in my mixed feelings about the new T.Swift song and music video. I didn’t watch the VMAs last night but I did watch the video and I was very confused by it. I know she’s claiming she’s dead, but I still love old Taylor. The only part of the music video I really enjoyed was when she mocked herself by bringing back different iconic stages of her life to bicker with each other. You have to see it to fully appreciate it but if you’ve been a Swiftie for as long as she’s been around, you’ll find it just as hilarious as I did. If you haven’t seen it yet you can watch it here! (And if like me you don’t catch on to things quickly here’s an analysis of the music video for after you watch!)
four // Hurricane Harvey – Being in D.C. I haven’t heard much about Hurricane Harvey, but the pictures I’ve seen paint a pretty vivid picture of the damage and destruction they’re facing right now. The last major hurricane was Sandy and I remember being home for five days with no school because of power outages. While my hurricane experience was nothing as bad as what the people of Texas are going through right now my heart goes out to them. I wanted to share this article on how you can Hurricane Harvey victims, whether it be donating your time, money or blood.
five // Tie-Dye Romper – I wish I could tell you where this romper is from, but I borrowed it from my roommate and she couldn’t remember where she got it. Since we can’t offer you this exact romper, as a consolation, I’m sharing some similar styles so you can shop the look! I love this one from ASOS and this long sleeve romper from Billabong.
