National Wear Your Lilly Day - Fashion & Fernweh

Happy first day of summer! Since Lilly Pulitzer is all about bright patterns and resort wear, they decided the first day of summer would also be National Wear Your Lilly Day. Although they do all sorts of trendy pieces now, I really love their classic shift dresses best. I have a few and they’re perfect for everything, whether it’s brunch or a nicer event, like graduation.

I’ll be wearing one of my favorite classic shifts today. It was also the first one I bought! It’s called the Pearl Shift and I love the white detailing on the top and the little peacocks in the pattern. I tend to gravitate more towards the patterns that are only two or three colors, instead of the full color prints.

I paired it with pearl earrings, a fun bracelet with some pearls to match the earrings, and white Jack Rogers sandals. They’re still so white and pretty I’m afraid to wear them out in New York! (Also afraid to break them in but that’s a story for another day.)
