Happy December! Today marks the start of the last week of class for the semester. It’s absolutely crazy to me how time has flown by. Luckily, finals aren’t too intense for me so I’m trying to finish strong this week before I get a long break. I can’t wait to tell you guys about my weekend so let’s jump right into it!
one // A REAL igloo – This weekend CityCenter DC had a pop-up igloo. It was constructed of real ice and it was so cool (ha ha, pun intended). I’m glad we got there early Saturday because after a while it started to melt and people weren’t allowed inside Saturday night or Sunday as far as I could tell. If you’re in the DC area, the igloo is gone, but CityCenter still has some very cool decorations up for the holidays including a stunning, massive tree.
two // Grey’s Anatomy – Guys, I finally gave in. I started Grey’s Anatomy for the first time. No, I’ve never seen it before and no, I’m definitely not prepared for 13 seasons but I really like it so far and it’ll be a miracle if it doesn’t consume every second of my time between now and next semester. Does anyone else watch it and love it?
three // Ugly Location Challenge – If you’ve been on Twitter in the past week, I hope you saw Kelsey Maggart’s viral ugly location challenge pictures. She’s an incredible photographer and has inspired other similar pictures that bring to light how cool photography is. Check out her Twitter to see what I’m talking about!
four // Cuticle care – During the winter my nails get SO dry and brittle. I’ve been trying to make an effort to take better care of them and a huge part of that is keeping my cuticles moisturized. I love Lush’s lemony flutter cuticle butter, but this list from Vogue has a ton of other options for taking better care of your cuticles!
five // Boarding – One of my least favorite things about flying is boarding. People get in the way, are so pushy, line up well before they’re called, and then give you the death glare when you swoop in to board when you’re called since they’ve been standing there for 20 minutes. I found this article from Conde Nast Traveler where editors take sides – wait and relax or push to the front. I LOVE the side of wait and relax but totally understand the “start the line” mentality. Which side are you on?
