One of my favorite things about New York City is the cute, unique places you can find. Alice’s Tea Cup is just one of many. They have three locations throughout the city, but we went to Chapter II on 64th and Lexington. When you walk in, you can see their daily scones on display, a collection of their house-brewed teas for sale, children’s books (and of course multiple copies of Alice in Wonderland) and these incredibly cute business cards with their locations on the back!
We were seated upstairs and the room was bright and full of cute decorations. I went with my friend Ava, and her sister Claire, both of whom love tea so it was perfect. All three of us got small pots of tea and two scones. I had an Apricot Whiskey tea and two scones: apple cinnamon raisin and triple chocolate. The scones come with clotted cream and raspberry jelly, which accompany them perfectly! The apple cinnamon raisin was my favorite, but it isn’t one of their daily ones so I’ll have to make sure they have it again next time I go.
The small pot provides 3 cups of tea, which gives you plenty of time to sit, eat, and drink! All three serve weekend brunch and lunch, but only the 64th Street and West Side locations serve breakfast during the week. You can make reservations at any of the three locations; if you don’t have time for a full meal or tea you can get scones or tea to go!
